Overview
We provide a timely and reliable, around-the-clock, pickup and delivery service for a wide cross section of businesses. From our headquarters in Richmond, Virginia, we oversee two divisions: Frontier Couriers, which services Virginia and the surrounding states, and Frontier Couriers West, which services Utah and the surrounding states. We own the building that houses our headquarters and we have been in this location for 14 years. The complex includes a well equipped garage for maintaining our fleet of vehicles, office space for our dispatchers and staff, and 2,000 SF of warehouse space. Currently we operate a fleet of approximately 30 vehicles consisting of smaller economical cars, pickups with shells, mini vans, cargo vans, four-wheel drive SUV's, and 10 to 26 foot box trucks.
As some of our major accounts are laboratories and blood banks, our drivers and staff are well versed in OSHA and HIPAA regulations. All of our employees are required to take a class on blood-born pathagens and pass a test before they are certified to transport blood. And all of our vehicles are equipped with coolers, gloves, spill kits, etc., everything required by law for the transportation of bioharzardous materials. Other major accounts include: US mail, law firms, insurance companies, accounting firms, tire distributors, auto parts stores, printers, and the list is growing. We can handle anything from a single envelope to 25,000 lbs. of freight. Licensed to operate nationwide, we have made long distance runs up and down the eastern seaboard from Boston to Miami, and as far west as St. Louis. And now, with Frontier Couriers West in operation, we anticipate making runs from coast to coast. We take a great deal of pride in doing the job right and assuring the security and confidentiality of your delivery.
Frontier Couriers is a woman-owned business, incorporated as LDS of Virginia, Inc. Lori Cook is the owner, and Jeff Cook, her husband, is the president. They have worked together in the courier business for 25 years.
